Professional Profile

I have 17 years of experience in translation and interpretation with a wide range of national and international organisations. I gained extensive freelance experience whilst working in Cameroon and am therefore able to acquire an understanding of new concepts at short notice.
I have solid experience in translating, revising and editing a broad range of both routine and highly sensitive documents, including complex legal motions and opinions, financial and policy documents, press releases, annual reports and administrative documents.
In addition to my university degrees, I passed the United Nations Competitive Examination for Translators (French and Spanish into English) and Précis-writers in 2006.
I am familiar with translation software packages, particularly WordFast and Multitrans.
I take a pragmatic and flexible approach to priorities and resource requests whilst making maximum use of available resources. In this wise, I have a proven track record of timely delivery of documents, usually subject to strict deadlines.

Experience and Qualifications

20 years of experience in national and international bodies with a strong focus on legal documents (nearly 10 years in United Nations criminal tribunals).
