Professional Profile

I have been translating over a three period on a voluntary and employed basis. The source language I work in is French and translate to my native language of English. I mainly specialise in Engineering and Technical, as this was a previous occupation for ten years. I currently translate between 1000-2000 words per day and am competent with a variety of CAT tools, although, favour MemSource, currently

Experience and Qualifications

I have GCSE French and French level 3 conversation certificates. This have proved useful with dealing with my Parisian partners and have allowed me to chair meetings in French. My target language education as seen me obtain an MSc in Mechanical Engineering and a CELTA (Teaching English as Foreign Language). This has allowed me to understand Engineering terminology and present in a formal easy to read manner. These qualifications and this experience has stood me in good stead with challenging projects.
